MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Aggies Compete At NCAA Mid-East
Regionals ALLEGHENY (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's
and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional
Championships on Saturday at Allegheny College. The women placed 35th out of 35
teams while the men did not have enough runners to qualify in the team standings.
Senior Marianne Petrino competed in her cross country event and placed 125th out
of 259 runners with a time of 25 minutes, 38 seconds. Freshman Jennifer Houghton
was 234th with a time of 29 minutes, 25 seconds while fellow rookie Colleen Volkman
was 242nd with a time of 30 minute, 3 seconds. Juniors Melissa McKenna (252nd
- 31:50) and Amy McLean (256th - 32:33) also competed for Delaware Valley.
On the men's side, freshmen Michael Caracciolo and Tom Calandrillo were the
lone runners for the Aggies. Caracciolo placed 220th out of 249 competitors with
a time of 32 minutes, 34 seconds. Calandrillo was 235th with a time of 35 minutes,
2 seconds. | |
