MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Aggies Compete At Muhlenberg/Cedar Crest Invitational


ALLENTOWN (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Muhlenberg/Cedar Crest Invitational on Saturday. The women placed seventh out of 10 teams while the men did not have enough runners to place in the team standings.

The Aggie women registered 184 points to place ahead of Cedar Crest (191), Immaculata (203) and Arcadia (235). Muhlenberg won the invitational with 50 points.

Mary Wheatley and Marianne Petrino paced the Aggies by finishing 21st (21:52.3) and 22nd (21:58.3) respectively. Jen Dilworth took 52nd with a time of 23:44.3 while Breann DePietro 59th - 24:02.7) and Amy McLean (77th - 26:04.3) rounded out the scorers. Kristen Penn (78th - 26:06.6), Elizabeth Foreman (79th - 26:08.6) and Steph Lozowski (91st - 27:54.1) also ran the race for Delaware Valley.

On the men's side, Ryan Shank paced Delaware Valley as his time of 29:52.1 was good enough for 28th place. Kyle Wheeler placed 45th with a time of 32:20.1 while Mark Schmidt (32:36.0) and Andrew Gardner (34:52.6) finished 48th and 53rd respectively.
