MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY - Aggies Compete At MAC Championships

CENTER VALLEY (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2003 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships hosted by DeSales University.

The Aggie women registered 296 points to finish in 11th place out of 13 teams while the men were 12th out of 13 squads with 376 points. Messiah captured the women's title and Elizabethtown captured the men's championship.

Mary Wheatley was the top Delaware Valley finisher as her time of 26 minutes, 56.15 seconds placed 27th. Marianne Petrino (28:03.32) and Jen Dilworth (29:19.56) were 54th and 74th respectively, while Breann DePietro (101st - 32:03.79) and Stephanie Lozowski (108th - 32:35.65) rounded out the Aggie scorers.

On the men' side, Ryan Shan paced Delaware Valley by placing 72nd with a time of 31 minutes, 14.89 seconds. Mark Schmidt (114th - 34:24.38), Brian Forsythe (115th - 35:21.78), Kyle Wheeler (116th - 35:39.57) and Andrew Gardner (118th - 36:11.54) also competed at the MAC Championships.
