CROSS CONTRY: Aggie Men And Women Compete At MAC Championships

ELIZABETHTOWN (PA) - Andy Hannah and Mary Wheatley were the top finishers for Delaware Valley College as the Aggies competed at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships held at Elizabethtown College.

The Delaware Valley women finished in 12th place out of 13 squads while the men did not have enough competitors to qualify for the team standings. Elizabethtown won the men's championship while Moravian captured the women's title.

Hannah, a senior, finished in 58th place with a time of 29:32. Fellow senior Nick Fritz placed 88th with a time of 31:04. Freshmen Andrew Gardner (34:41) and Mark Schmidt (37:25) placed 115th and 120th respectively.

Wheatley's time of 27:21 was good enough for 75th place on the women's side. Fellow sophomore Marianne Petrino took 79th place with a time of 27:56 and senior Erin Baker capped her career by placing 98th with a time of 30:17. Junior Elizabeth Foreman (100th - 30:33) and freshman Amy McLean (109th - 32:00) also scored for the Aggies.
