SHIPPENSBURG (PA) - Nationally-ranked wrestlers Kyle Bilquist and Chris Sheetz picked up back-to-back decisions at heavyweight and 125 pounds respectively as visiting Delaware Valley College erased a late deficit and defeated Division II Shippensburg University, 24-16.

The Aggies, who remained in number four spot when the latest Division III poll was released earlier in the day, improved to 10-4 in dual meets. The Raiders fell to 6-3.

Shippensburg took a 13-12 lead with four matches remaining as Peter Grodziak notched a 6-2 decision over Joe West (18-8) at 197 pounds. However, Delaware Valley won three of the last four weight classes led by the efforts of Bilquist and Sheetz.

Bilquist, ranked second in Division III in his weight class, improved to 20-1 on the season and gave the Aggies a 15-13 advantage with a 4-2 triumph over Jon Rhone. Sheetz, ranked ninth, won his team-best 25th match (25-5) as a second-period takedown was all the scoring in a 2-0 decision over Andrew Jones.

Brandon Clemmer (17-7) was awarded a forfeit victory at 133 pounds and it clinched the match for Delaware Valley at 24-13. Shippensburg picked up its final points at 141 pounds as Steve Fittery registered a 4-3 decision over second-ranked Dan Hall (18-5).

The match began at 149 pounds where sixth-ranked Jesse Harrington notched three takedowns in the first period, en route to an 8-4 victory over Rob Cross. The victory was the 21st for Harrington in 26 matches.

The Raiders won two of the next three matches for a 10-6 advantage.
