COLLEGEVILLE (PA) - Delaware Valley College moved its dual meet record to 4-2 on the season as the sixth-ranked Aggies went 2-2 at the North/South Duals hosted by Ursinus College.

Delaware Valley picked up victories over Plymouth State University (52-0) and Johns Hopkins University (35-4) and dropped decisions to two of the top three ranked teams in Division III in No. 2 Wartburg College (41-6) and No. 3 University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse (34-15).

Nationally-ranked wrestlers Dan Hall and Kyle Bilquist each notched perfect records at the duals, including triumphs over top 10 opponents. Hall, ranked third at 141 pounds, went 4-0 with a pair of pins. One of his victories was a 5-2 decision over second-ranked Zach McCray of Wartburg. Hall upped his season record to 14-4 with his strong showing.

Bilquist competed in just two matches, but the fourth-ranked wrestler at heavyweight was victorious in both. He earned a 3-2 decision over No. 8 Dan Laurent of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and, later in the day edged fifth-ranked Brian Borchers of Wartburg, 3-2. Bilquist is now 13-1 on the season.

The opening match against Wisconsin-LaCrosse saw the Aggies take a 12-3 lead after three weight classes thanks to pins by Hall and Chris Sheetz (125). However, Wisconsin-LaCrosse took the next six weight classes, including three pins, before Bilquist's victory ended the match at 34-15.

Delaware Valley followed with five pins, two technical falls, two decisions and one forfeit in the blanking of Plymouth State. Hall notched another pin, this time at 149 pounds. Brandon Clemmer (141), Ryan Herwig (157), Greg Miele (165) and Charlie Pendlebury (heavyweight) also dropped their opponents with Herwig's fall coming in just 40 seconds.

Hall and Bilquist had the lone wins for the Aggies against Wartburg. Delaware Valley then ended the long Saturday of competition by winning nine of 10 bouts against Johns Hopkins. Sheetz and Clemmer notched technical falls in the victory.

Delaware Valley heads to Northern Iowa University for the two-day Division III National Duals, which begins on Saturday, January 12.
