MILLERSVILLE (PA) - The Delaware Valley College wrestling team, ranked fourth in Division III ended the dual meet season by sweeping a pair of matches over higher division teams. The Aggies registered a 20-18 victory over Division I Army and followed with a 29-12 triumph over Division II Millersville University.

Delaware Valley won 14 of 18 dual meets including wins over two Division I teams (Army, East Stroudsburg) and a pair of Division II teams (Millersville, Shippensburg). Its lone losses were a pair of setbacks to the number one team in Division III (Wartburg) and single losses to No. 2 Augsburg and No. 3 Wisconsin-LaCrosse).

The Aggies will now have two weeks to prepare for the Midwest Regionals, which will be held at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana on February 23. They will look to not only defend their team title but also qualify as many wrestlers as they can for the NCAA Division III Championship at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 7 and 8.

Delaware Valley won seven of 10 weight classes in each match and two of the setbacks were forfeits to both opponents at 197 pounds. Six Aggies went a perfect 2-0 on the afternoon, including nationally-ranked wrestlers Chris Sheetz, Jesse Harrington, Michael Wilcox and Kyle Bilquist.

Sheetz, ranked ninth in Division III at 125 pounds, earned one-point decisions over Fernando Martinez of Army and John Andel of Millersville to improve to 29-5 on the season. Harrington, ranked sixth at 149 pounds, opened with a 13-4 major decision over Army's Casey Smith and followed with a 3-2 decision over Millersville's Cody Becker. He has now won 25 of 30 matches.

Wilcox, the number two wrestler at 184 pounds, notched bonus points in each of his matches as he ran his record to 22-2. He began with a 12-4 major decision over Scott Ferguson of Army and earned a technical fall in five minutes over Millersville's Steve Funk. Bilquist, ranked second at heavyweight, used a 10-5 decision over Nathan Thobaben of Army and a forfeit victory to up his season mark to 24-1.

Brandon Clemmer (133) and Greg Miele (165) also won a pair of matches. Clemmer blanked Robert Swan of Army, 5-0, and then needed just 50 seconds to pin Millersville's Matt Leggett to improve to 22-7. Miele ran his record to 16-10 as he registered a 3-1 decision over Army's Sean Joyce and a 2-1 overtime triumph over Millersville's Dave Morey.
