AGGIES REMAIN SIXTH IN DIVISION III POLL
Five Wrestlers Ranked Individually

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - The Delaware Valley College wrestling team remained in the sixth spot in the latest Brute-Adidas/National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III poll while five Aggies are now ranked individually in their respective weight classes.

The top eight spots and 11 of the top 12 remained the same in the team rankings. Delaware Valley is behind only defending national champion Augsburg College (MN), Wartburg College (IA), University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, Heidelberg College (OH) and Luther College (IA) in the poll. The Aggies are 2-0 in dual meets and captured top honors at the York College Spartan Invitational.

Individually, senior Dan Hall (Waretown, NJ/Southern Regional) is the highest-ranked Delaware Valley wrestler as he is third in the 141-pound weight class. Freshman Jesse Harrington (New Providence, NJ/Bound Brook) is ranked fourth at 149 pounds while sophomore Joe West (Washington, PA/Trinity) is sixth at 197. Junior Kyle Bilquist (Toms River, NJ/Toms River South) and senior Ryan Herwig (Glen Burnie, MD/Mount St. Joseph's) and are ranked seventh and eighth at heavyweight and 157 pounds respectively.

Hall, a three-time national qualifier who missed all of last season with an injury, is 7-1 with two pins to his credit this year. He also placed second at the York Invitational. Harrington is off to a strong start in his rookie campaign as he is 12-1 with first-place finishes at both the Central Jersey Open and the York Invitational.

West is ranked nationally for the first time in his collegiate career following first-place showings at the Central Jersey Open and the York Invitational. He has won nine of 10 matches, and is tied for top honors on the team with four pins.

A 2007 national qualifier, Bilquist is 6-1 with two pins this season. He took top honors as well at the York tournament. Herwig, a two-time national qualifier, is 6-3 with three pins and a second-place finish at the York Tournament to his credit.

Delaware Valley is off until Friday, December 28 when it travels to Lakeland, Florida for the two-day Sunshine Open.
