DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College ranked sixth in Division III, was victorious in 15 of 20 matches on Saturday afternoon as the Aggies routed Division I opponents Millersville University, 31-10, and Binghamton University, 34-6. Binghamton also picked up a win with a 22-20 triumph over Millersville.

Delaware Valley improved to a perfect 4-0 in dual meets with the sweep. Binghamton moved its record to 3-5 while Millersville fell to 0-6.

In the opening match, Delaware Valley won seven of 10 weight classes, including two pins and a technical fall, for its first win over Millersville in five tries. Josh Proctor began with a 16-0, technical-fall victory over Mike Acedo-Malaney at 125 pounds for a 5-0 lead.

The Marauders took the match at 133, but Delaware Valley's Ricky LaForge, who is ranked eighth in Division III at 141 pounds, needed just 1:40 to drop Cody Becker for an 11-3. Jaryd Steinbacher followed with a decision at 149 before Millersville's Jarrett Hostetter made it a 14-7 match with a major decision at 157.

The two teams then traded decisions as the Aggies' Ryan Pope recorded an 8-3 victory at 165 and Millersville's Jeremy Brooks had a 6-3 triumph at 174. However, Delaware Valley swept the final three weight classes for the 31-10 victory.

Paul Donnell began that run with a 12-4 victory over Steve Funk at 184 pounds and Kevin Orr followed with an 11-0 shutout over Mike Langor at 197. Heavyweight Kyle Bilquist then ended the first match by pinning Josh Haron with 52 seconds left in the first period (2:08).

After Binghamton came from behind to down Millersville, Delaware Valley and the Bearcats hit the mat for the final match of the afternoon. The Aggies won eight of the 10 weight classes for the big victory.

Proctor got the Aggies off to a quick start once again as he pinned Corey Sullivan in 2:04. Binghamton took the 133-poind match, but Delaware Valley captured the next four weight classes for a 22-3 advantage.

Matt Lindsay started the big run at 141 pounds as he pinned Patrick Sandberg 18 seconds into the third period (5:18). LaForge then wrestled up a weight class (149) and notched a 10-2 major decision over Nate Patterson. Ryan Herwig and Pope followed with back-to-back decisions at 157 and 165 pounds respectively.

After Binghamton's Josh Patterson ended the Aggie run with an 11-5 victory at 174, Delaware Valley finished with points in the final three weights. Martin Porter had a 4-1 decision over Corey Waite at 184 pounds while Orr picked up another shutout with a 6-0 triumph over Ed Backus at 197. Bilquist was then awarded a victory by forfeit to end the day.
