Aggies Compete At Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic

MILLERSVILLE (PA) - Delaware Valley College placed nine wrestlers in the top six, including four runner-ups, at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial Classic held at Division I Millersville University. Team scoring was not recorded at the event.

Delaware Valley, ranked fifth in Divison III, was led by second-place finishers Justin Shorts (133), Ryan Herwig (157), Paul Donnell (174) and Kyle Bilquist (Hwt). Bilquist is currently ranked seventh in Division III in his weight class.

Jaryd Steinbacher, who is ranked eighth nationally at 149 pounds, placed third in his weight class as did Martin Porter at 184 pounds. Ryan Pope was fourth at 165 pounds while Bill Woodward was fifth 157 pounds. Joe West rounded out the placewinners by finishing sixth at 184 pounds.
