Aggies Compete At East Stroudsburg Open

EAST STROUDSBURG (PA) - The Delaware Valley College wrestling team competed at the 40th annual East Stroudsburg University Open on Saturday. Team scoring was not kept at the event that featured more than 300 wrestlers from all levels of competition.

Four Aggies placed in the top eight at the Open, including sophomore transfer heavyweight Kyle Bilquist who finished third. Bilquist went 5-1 at the event and reached the semifinals before being pinned by top-seed and eventual champion Matt Pellar of Old Domion. He then won the consolation finals by medical forfeit.

Martin Porter placed fourth at 184 pounds while Josh Proctor and Ryan Pope took seventh at 125 and 165 pounds respectively.
