Delaware Valley 38, Elizabethtown College 6

ELIZABETHTOWN (PA) - Ryan Pope and Kevin Orr pinned their opponents in less than a minute to lead nationally-ranked Delaware Valley College to a 38-6 victory at Middle Atlantic Conference foe Elizabethtown College.

The Aggies, ranked 25th in Division III, improved to 2-1 in dual meets including a perfect 2-0 in MAC matches. The Blue Jays fell to 2-4 and 1-1.

Pope needed just 58 seconds to pin Brian Issac at 174 pounds for his second win and second fall of the season. Orr ended the evening 27 seconds after his heavyweight match with Ezra Schatz began. It was the seventh pin of the season for the freshman who improved to 11-3.

Brandon Earlston also earned a fall as he dropped Justin Martin just 79 seconds into their 141-pound match. Justin Shorts (133) and John Powell (165) picked up major decisions while Zack Holt (125) and Mike Berlanda (197) each won by decision. Paul Donnell earned a forfeit victory at 184 pounds to round out the Delaware Valley points.
