JOHNSTOWN (PA) -- Delaware Valley College, ranked fourth in Division III, dropped a pair of dual meets to higher division schools on Friday evening. The Aggies opened with a 35-9 loss to a Pitt-Johnstown team that is ranked fourth in Division II, then fell 29-16 to Division I Old Dominion University.

Pitt-Johnstown (5-2) has five wrestlers in the Division II individual rankings and all five won its matches and picked up 20 of the Mountain Cats' 35 points.

Delaware Valley's nationally-ranked wrestlers, Barry Wise and Andrew Helms, combined to record all nine of its points. Wise, a senior who is ranked second in Division III at 133 pounds, pinned Tom Brambley in 1:44. Helms, a senior who is ranked second at 197 pounds, wrestled at 184 pounds and edged Mike Corcetti, 5-4.

In the nightcap, Old Dominion (1-1) won seven of the 10 matches, en route to its 13-point victory. The Aggies trailed 20-0 before returning All-American Jason Shivak pinned James Convers with 52 seconds left in the first period of the 165-pound match.

The Monarchs won the next two weight classes before Jamall Johnson earned a 17-6 major decision over Andrew Jordan at 197 pounds for Delaware Valley. Heavyweight Mike Moore ended the night by pinning Old Dominion's Alec Eaton in 2:19.
