Wrestling - 2003-04 Season Archive

Head coach Brandon Totten and the Aggies finished the memorable 2003-04 season with a 16-6 overall record (three losses to Division I and II teams) and a perfect 7-0 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). The team then easily won the MAC Championship for the third consecutive year (12th overall title) and finished in fourth place and earned a national trophy at the NCAA Division III Championships.

Totten was named the MAC Coach of the Year for the second year in a row while the team had five MAC champions and national qualifiers as well as a school-record four All-Americans with top eight finishes at the NCAA Championships.

Senior Josh Housekeeper (184 pounds) earned his second All-American accolade as he finished as the national runner-up in his weight class and concluded his career with a 108-40 record.

Junior Barry Wise (133 pounds) took third at nationals for the second consecutive year while fellow junior Andrew Helms (197 pounds) placed third for his first All-American honor. Junior Jason Shivak (174 pounds was named the MAC's Outstanding Wrestler as he went undefeated during the regular season, won the MAC crown for the third straight season and finished sixth at nationals. Freshman Dan Hall (141 pounds) qualified for the NCAAs by winning his first conference title.
