WILKES-BARRE (PA) -- Delaware Valley College, ranked 22nd in Division III, improved to 3-1 in dual meets by sweeping a pair of matches at Wilkes University. The Aggies opened with a 26-20 triumph over Middle Atlantic Conference foe Wilkes, then posted a 29-16 victory over Mount Union College.

Delaware Valley won the first five weight classes in the Wilkes match to jump out to a 20-0 lead. Jeremy Messinger opened the match with a pin at 157 pounds and Andrew Helms ended the run with a 16-2 major decision at 197 pounds.

Wilkes crept to 20-15 with two pins and a decision in the next three matches, but B.J. Wise sealed the deal for the Aggies by pinning Pat O'Hara in 17 seconds at 141 pounds.

Delaware Valley had two pins, a technical fall and a forfeit in the victory over Mount Union. Messinger opened this match with a pin as well as downed Brandon Evans with 50 seconds left in the match. The other pin was by sophomore heavyweight Kyle Phipps, who stopped Jeremy Jimmar in 3:29. Jason Shivak earned a 19-4 technical fall over Ken McLeod at 174 pounds.
