Delaware Valley 24, McDaniel College 15

WESTMINSTER (MD) -- In a battle of top 25 Division III teams, No. 22 Delaware Valley College won six of 10 weight classes to pick up a 24-15 road victory over No. 25 McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College). The victory was the first in the coaching career of Brandon Totten, who was a former assistant of current McDaniel coach John Lowe in the late 1990s.

With the march starting at 133 pounds, the two teams exchanged leads before Delaware Valley took control with four straight wins in the upperweights. The Aggies trailed 12-9 before returning national qualifer Jason Shivak earned a 19-8 major decision over Caleb Moore at 174 pounds.

Shivak's win sparked a four-bout run for Delaware Valley as it took a 24-12 advantage. Returning All-American Josh Housekeeper followed Shivak by pinning Steve Jennings 73 seconds into the 184-pound match. Andrew Helms posted a 5-0 shutout over Levi McVey at 197 and heavyweight Kyle Phipps notched a 10-4 decision over Steve Dubrey.
