COLLEGEVILLE (PA) - The Delaware Valley College volleyball team
opened its 2007 by notching victories over host Ursinus College
(3-2) and Wesley College (3-0) in a Saturday tri-meet.
In the opener, the Aggies took a 30-23, 23-30, 24-30, 30-26, 15-6
victory over the host Bears. They trailed in the fourth game before
rallying to tie the match and never trailed in the fifth and deciding
game.
Andrea Wolf (Held) led the way with 13 kills while freshman Ashley
Mikulsky had 11 kills and 26 digs in her collegiate debut. Kate
Klish dug out 39 balls while Bonnie Zobel dished out 31 assists.
Stephanie Knox added nine kills in the win.
The second match saw Delaware Valley pull out 30-25, 31-29 and 30-26
scores in the sweep of Wesley. Mikulsky added 10 kills in the match
while Wolf and Jaki Blood followed with eight and seven kills respectively.
Zobel had 25 assists while Klish added 25 digs.
