Delaware Valley College 3, Kean University 2

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Ashley Mikulsky and Bonnie Zobel had big serving efforts in the fifth and final game as Delaware Valley College rallied from a 2-0 deficit and posted a 3-2 victory over visiting Kean University in a non-conference match. The win improved the Aggies to a perfect 4-0 on the season while the Cougars fell to 0-2.

Kean took a 2-0 lead with 30-28 and 30-27 victories. The Aggies rallied for 30-24 and 30-16 triumphs to force a fifth and deciding game. They then ended the comeback with a 15-5 score in the fifth.

Down 2-0 in the fifth, Delaware Valley regained the serve and with Mikulsky at the helm, gained five straight points for a 6-2 lead. Kean made it 6-4 before an error made it 7-4 and gave the serve back to the Aggies. Zobel served five straight points for 12-4 advantage. After the teams traded points, Andrea Wolf served the final two points for the win.

Wolf finished with 11 kills and 10 digs while Jackie Holdsworth had nine kills and 17 digs. Mikulsky and Jaki Blood combined for 12 kills and 21 digs. Zobel dished out 29 assists while Kate Klish led the defensive effort with 37 digs.
