University of Scranton 3, Delaware Valley College 0 (30-21, 30-13, 30-8)

The University of Scranton won its eighth straight match and 16th in its last 17 with a convincing 3-0 victory (30-21, 30-13, 30-8) over Delaware Valley College in the Freedom Conference regular-season finale for both teams.

The Aggies fought back in the first game and cut an early Royal lead down to one, 21-20, before Scranton scored nine of the final 10 points to hold on for the win. It was all Scranton the rest of the way, as the Royals jumped out to early leads in each of the next two games.

The Royals, now 26-5 overall and 6-0 in the Freedom Conference, received 15 kills and 10 digs by sophomore outside hitter Jacqueline Pisano and senior Carly Ritter added 14 kills.

Delaware Valley, now 11-12 overall and 0-6 in league play, was led by junior middle hitter Andrea Held with six kills and four blocks while junior middle hitter Stephanie Knox chipped in five kills. Junior setter Bonnie Zobel dished out 11 assists.
