Delaware Valley 3, Bryn Athyn College 2 (30-19, 28-30, 30-16, 30-32, 15-12)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College notched the last four points of the match, including three on Caitlin Klish's serve, as the Aggies pulled out a 3-2 victory over visiting Bryn Athyn College in a non-conference contest.

Games scores were 30-19, 28-30, 30-16, 30-32 and 15-12 in favor of Delaware Valley. The win improved the Aggies to 4-7 on the season while Bryn Athyn fell to 1-1.

Delaware Valley trailed 12-11 in the fifth and final game, but a Bryn Athyn hitting error tied the match and gave the Aggies the serve. Klish had an ace and a Rachel Joyce kill made it 14-12. Bryn Athyn was charged with a blocking error on Stephanie Knox kill attempt for the winning point.

Joyce paced the Aggies with 14 kills and also added four blocks. Jackie Holdsworth added 10 kills and 14 digs while Knox had a big overall evening with nine kills, four blocks and 11 service aces.

Lauren Silio notched nine kills, nine service aces and 11 kills. Klish and Brittany Marconi were solid on defense with 23 and 12 digs respectively while Marconi also added nine assists. Bonnie Zobel dished out 26 assists and dug out 14 balls.
