Arcadia University 3, Delaware Valley 0 (30-17, 30-18, 30-27)

GLENSIDE (PA) - The Delaware Valley College volleyball team opened its 2004 season with a 3-0 road loss at Arcadia University in a non-conference match. Game scores were 30-17, 30-18 and 30-27.

The Aggies, under second-year head coach Shawn Rush, return four starters from last year's team. The third game against Arcadia saw the two teams tied at 24-24 before the Knights registered six of the final nine points to clinch the match.

Sophomore Jackie May paced Delaware Valley with 11 kills while also adding eight digs and three assists. Freshman Andrea Held added nine kills, seven digs and four blocks while fellow rookie Stephanie Knox notched eight kills. Junior Andrea Radice dished out 24 assists.
