DOYLESTOWN (PA) - The Delaware Valley College volleyball team picked up its first win of the season as the Aggies went 1-2 at the Albright College Tournament.

Delaware Valley picked up a 3-2 victory (30-28, 25-30, 22-30, 30-22, 15-3) over Arcadia University and dropped a 3-1 decision (14-30, 30-27, 13-30, 15-30) to Albright and a 3-0 decision (5-30, 15-30, 13-30) to FDU-Florham. The Aggies are now 1-6 on the season.

The triumph over Arcadia saw freshman Andrea Held notch 19 kills and just one error in 40 attack attempts. She also added 18 digs, five blocks and three aces. Fellow rookie Stephanie Knox had seven kills and 11 digs while sophomore Jackie May added seven kills, 28 assists and 17 digs.

Held had team highs of nine kills, 15 digs and two blocks in the loss to Albright. Knox contributed four kills and four digs with May adding two kills, 11 digs and 15 assists.

Delaware Valley was held to just eight kills against FDU-Florham. Three came from freshman Jackie Holdsworth who also added nine digs. Held finished with two kills, 17 digs and three blocks. May had five assists and nine digs.
