Aggies Compete At Widener Invitational

CHESTER (PA) - Becky Heisey placed in the top 10 in two events as Delaware Valley competed at the Widener University Invitational on Saturday. Team scoring was not held at the event.

Heisey placed eighth in the javelin with a toss of 109 feet, 6 inches and also took ninth in the discus with a throw of 97 feet, 7 inches. Anja Fernand also took ninth in a throwing event as tossed the hammer 78 feet, 9 inches.

On the men's side, Kery Swope finished eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.49 seconds. Kevin Carlock missed tying the school record in the hammer throw as his toss of 86 feet was just one inch shy of the mark set by teammate Rick Heuman last week at the Falcon Invitational at Messiah College.
