Aggies Compete At Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER (PA) - The Delaware Valley College men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor season by competing at the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University. Team scoring was the held at the event.

On the men's side, Shane Toohey placed seventh out of 26 competitors in the javelin with a toss of 162 feet, 9 inches. Chip Brumbaugh also had a top 10 finish as his time of 34 minutes, 28.17 seconds in the 10,000-meter run placed 10th.

Talesha Karish led the Aggie women by taking fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13 minutes, 35.34 seconds. Becky Heisey finished 11th out of 39 shot put throwers with a toss of 33 feet, 1 inch.
