Aggies Compete At Richard Stockton Invitational

POMONA (NJ) -- Kevin Weber's first-place finish in the 1,500-meter run highlighted a strong showing by the Delaware Valley College men's and women's track and field teams at the Richard Stockton College Invitational. Team scoring was not kept at the event.

Weber took top honors with a time of 4 minutes, 19.42 seconds. The freshman also finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 7.21 seconds.

Also on the men's side, Robert Krauss placed in the top eight in a pair of throwing events. He was seventh in the javelin (48.26 meters) and eighth in the discus (31.60 meters). Dan Fenstermacher also placed in the top eight as he was sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18 minutes, 53.16 seconds.

In women's action, Becky Heisey placed in the top eight in three throwing events. She was third in the javelin with a toss of 31.02 meters while finishing sixth in the shot put (10.08 meters) and eighth in the discus (28.33 meters).

Sara Brown, Jennifer Houghton and Meghan Kolb had strong efforts in two events apiece. Brown was fifth in the 1,500-meter run (5:34.08) and seventh in the 3,000-meter run (12:25.13) while Houghton was fourth in the 1,500 (5:31.79) and seventh in the 800-meter run (2:49.62). Kolb finished in fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 4.5 meters and also placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 21.74 seconds.
