PAVLIK NAMED TO ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
Second Straight, First Team Honor For The Sophomore

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - For the second year in a row, Delaware Valley College sophomore outfielder Bethany Pavlik (Lewes, DE/Sussex Tech) was named to the all-Freedom Conference first team for softball.

Pavlik was the lone Aggie to be recognized by the conference coaches despite the senior-laden team clinching a second consecutive playoff berth and eventually reaching the Freedom Conference Championship Game for the first time in school history.

Pavlik, who has also garnered all-conference, second team honors in field hockey in both of her collegiate seasons, led Delaware Valley in nearly every offensive category this season including home runs where she hit a school-record eight. She batted .385 with a .679 slugging percentage, a .431 on-base percentage, 42 hits, 30 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, eight doubles, and 33 RBIs. Pavlik also tied a school-record with two home runs in a win over Manhattanville College that clinched the team's playoff berth.

Pavlik's two-year totals of 13 home runs and 49 RBIs have her on pace to break the career records of 19 home runs and 95 RBIs that teammate Nicole Dorney just finished setting in her four years with the Aggies.

Delaware Valley set a school record for wins this season with 18 (18-19). Three of the victories came in the Freedom Conference playoffs as Pavlik and the Aggies knocked out defending champion King's College (two wins including a 14-inning marathon) and went the distance with eventual champion DeSales University.
