Delaware Valley 9, College of Mount Saint Vincent 1 (Game 1 - 5 innings)

COCOA BEACH (FL) -- Delaware Valley College upped its winning streak to three as the Aggies swept a doubleheader from the College of Mount St. Vincent College, 11-3 and 9-1. Both games were called early due to the eight-run mercy rule.

In the opener, Kirstyn Ruhling improved her record to 1-2 as the sophomore allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits while striking out eight. Kelly Andrews went 1-for-3 including a three-run homer. She finished the day with four RBIs. Fawn Harmer was a perfect 3-for-3 with tw o runs scored and a RBI while Maureen Ferguson was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Katie Shallcross picked up her first collegiate win on the mound as the freshman allowed one unearned run and three hits over five innings. Delaware Valley (3-5) racked up 14 hits on the afternoon. including two each by Kim Harle, Nicole Dorney, Kristin Lup, Stephanie Sedeyn and Chelsea Yasenchak. Harle and Dorney also knocked in two runs apiece.
