COCOA BEACH (FL) -- The Delaware Valley College softball team opened its 2006 season with a pair of one-run, extra-inning losses to Division II Bemidiji State University on the team's Spring Break trip to Florida. The Aggies dropped the opener, 8-7, in 10 innings, then followed with a 1-0 setback in nine innings in the nightcap.

The opener saw the teams enter extra innings tied at 7-7. In the 10th, Bemidiji State plated two runs in the top half of the inning while Delaware Valley answered with just one tally. Stephanie Sedeyn went 4-for-6 with a run scored and one RBI while Kelly Andrews was 3-for-6 with a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs.

The nightcap saw a pitcher's duel between the Aggies' Stephanie Raziano and Bemidiji State's Amy Potter. Raziano allowed one unearned run and seven hits in eight-plus innings of work while Potter hurled a nine-inning, one-hit shutout.

Delaware Valley's lone hit was a single by Lacy Miles. Bemidiji State scored the winning run on a single by Kelly Carlson.
