Arcadia University 9, Delaware Valley 1 (Game 1 - 5 innings)
Arcadia University 13, Delaware Valley 12 (Game 2)

GLENSIDE (PA) - Nicole Dorney went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and six RBIs in the second game, but it wasn't enough as Arcadia University swept a non-conference doubleheader from visiting Delaware Valley College, 9-1 and 13-12.

The losses dropped the Aggies' overall record to 11-16 while the Knights improved their mark to 21-3.

Dorney had a two-run double and an RBI single in the fourth inning of the nightcap as Delaware Valley scored eight times in the stanza to erase a 7-0 deficit. It was still an 8-7 ballgame when Dorney came up to bat with two runners on in the sixth inning. The sophomore catcher blasted her fourth home run of the season for an 11-7 advantage.

The Aggies scored one more time in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Maureen Ferguson, but Arcadia answered with five run in its half of the inning to tie the contest. The Knights then won it in the seventh on a one-out, RBI single by Ceara Hughes.

In addition to Dorney's big game, Amy DeBuck went 3-for-4 while Kristin Lup went 3-for-5 with three scored and one RBI. Kim Harle added two hits and two RBIs while Ferguson also knocked in a pair of runs.

In the opener, Delaware Valley struck for a run in the first as Harle singled and later scored on an error. That was the only run that Arcadia's Jacquelyn Johnson would allow as she held the Aggies to six hits while fanning four.

Arcadia scored two times in the first then put the game away with five runs in the second, including a three-run homer by Laura Fencik. Fencik finished 1-for-2 with four RBIs. Harle was 3-for-3 to pace Delaware Valley.
