Moravian College 4, Delaware Valley 0 (Game 1)
Moravian College 3, Delaware Valley 1 (Game 2)

BETHLEHEM (PA) - Delaware Valley College allowed just two earned runs on the afternoon, but dropped a pair of non-conference games to nationally-ranked Moravian College, 4-0 and 3-1.

The Aggies fell to 7-14 while the Greyhounds, ranked ninth in the country after finishing as the Division III runner-up last season, improved to 24-3.

Freshmen pitchers Kirstyn Ruhling and Stephanie Raziano kept Delaware Valley in both contests with complete-game gems. Ruhling permitted just one run and three hits in the opener while Raziano followed with a one-earned run, eight-hit performance in the nightcap.

However, Meaghan Hennessy and Megan Ritchey topped those outing for Moravian. Hennessy, a returning All-American, hurled a three-hit shutout while fanning 11 and Ritchey followed by allowing just one unearned run and five hits while striking out eight.

The Greyhounds scored all four of their runs in the first inning of game one as they notched three hits and took advantage of one Delaware Valley error. Richelle McWilliams and Leah Holmes had the RBIs in the inning.

Freshman third baseman Kelly Andrews had two of the three hits for the Aggies while Ruhling added a double as she went 1-for-2.

In the nightcap, Moravian scored a single run in the second and added two more in the fifth for a 3-0 advantage. Delaware Valley hit the scoreboard in the top of the seventh as freshman shortstop Kim Harle singled, moved to second on an error and came around to score on a RBI single by Andrews.
Harle went 3-for-4 in the contest while Nicole Dorney and Andrews went 1-for-2 and 1-for-3 respectively.
