WILLIAMSPORT (PA) -Lycoming College extended its winning streak to six games as the Warriors swept a Freedom Conference doubleheader from visiting Delaware Valley College, 1-0 and 5-2.

Lycoming is now 8-5 overall this season and 7-1 within the conference. The Aggies fall to 6-11 and 0-4.

In the first game of the twinbill, Morgan Mantle limited Delaware Valley to just three hits in seven innings while also striking out nine. Kelly Andrews, Maureen Ferguson and Kim Harle picked up the hits - all singles - for the Aggies.

Lycoming got the game's lone run in the fourth inning when pinch-runner Ashley Haverly scored on a groundout by Christine Caroselli.

In game two, the Aggies grabbed the lead in the fourth as Nicole Dorney drew a walk and Keltrice Norman came in to pinch run. Two batters later, freshman Jennifer Bummer drilled her first collegiate home run for a 2-0 advantage. Bummer finished the game 2-for-3 with the two RBIs.

However, Lycoming scored three runs in the fifth inning and another two runs in the sixth. Caroselli led the offense with three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Jana Reitz added two hits, a run scored, and an RBI. Mantle came in to pitch the final four outs for her third save of the season.
