Delaware Valley 15, Wheelock College 2

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH (SC) -- Katie Leach hit a grand slam home run while Michelle Smith added a round-tripper as well as Delaware Valley College routed Wheelock College, 15-2. The game was called after six innings due to the eight-run mercy rule.

Leach delivered the big blow in the sixth inning for her first career grand slam and her second collegiate home run. The junior also hit a home run during her freshman campaign.

Smith's home run was the junior's first of her career.

Christine Bowie, a sophomore, picked up her first career on the mound as she went the full six innings and allowed just two runs.
