DOYLESTOWN (PA) - The Lebanon Valley College softball team improved its record to 7-9 on the season as the Flying Dutchmen swept a non-conference doubleheader from host Delaware Valley College, 9-1 and 2-1. The second game was called after five innings due to darkness.

The first game saw both teams scored single runs off of errors in the first inning. Lebanon Valley then scored in the second on an RBI single by Audrey Benner and added a run in the third on a RBI single by Mandi Nace.

A Gina Battistelli double in the fifth inning scored one run for a 4-1 Lebanon Valley lead, and the Flying Dutchmen put the game away five runs off of four hits and two Aggie errors in the seventh. The big blow was a two-out, two-run single by Kristin Crouse.

Kelly O'Toole improved to 3-0 as she allowed just the one unearned run and five hits over seven innings. Jenn Parks went 2-for-2 while Battistelli, Benner and O'Toole also had two hits apiece.

Megan Chapin suffered the loss for Delaware Valley (6-9) despite allowing just three earned runs in the game and striking out six. Holly Clark went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored the lone run for the Aggies while Christine Bowie went 1-for-3 with a double.

In the second game, Lebanon Valley scored two unearned runs in the third inning, including an RBI double by Crouse and a sacrifice fly by Nace.
