Haverford College 13, Delaware Valley 1 (Game 1 - 5 innings)
Game 2 - Postponed

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Haverford College scored seven times in the first inning and added six more in the third as the Ford posted a 13-1 non-conference victory over host Delaware Valley College. The game was called after five innings due to the eight-run mercy rule. The nightcap was postponed due to the inclement weather.

Haverford (9-10) sent 11 batters to the plate in the opening inning as it notched seven runs on six hits and one Aggie error. The big blows in the stanza were a two-run double by Sarah Nagle and a two-run single by Amy Havassy.

Delaware Valley (6-14) got one run back in its half of the first as Ashley Beam was hit by a pitch, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Holly Clark and stole third. She then scored on a ground out by Amy DeBuck.

The Fords exploded for another big inning in the third with six runs on three hits and two costly errors by the Aggies. Havassy knocked in her third run of the game with an RBI single and Gray Vargas-Regan added a two-run single.

Nora Spriggs picked up the win as she allowed just one run and two hits in five innings. Havassy finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs while Vargas-Regan was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Beam and Jenn Welsh had the lone hits for Delaware Valley. Michelle Smith suffered the loss despite allowing just four earned runs in the game.
