DeSales University 8, Delaware Valley 4 (Game 1 - 5 innings)
DeSales University 10, Delaware Valley 1 (Game 2 - 5 innings)

CENTER VALLEY (PA) - The Delaware Valley College softball team concluded its season with a pair of Freedom Conference at DeSales University, 8-0 and 10-1. Both games were called after five innings due to the eight-run mercy rule.

The Aggies, under rookie head coach Rich Matarese, went 8-25 overall and 1-13 in conference play for the season. The Bulldogs improved to 18-12 and 9-5.

The first game saw DeSales pitcher Danielle Jenson toss a no-hitter and was just one batter away from a perfect game. The lone Aggie to reach base was Megan Chapin on an error in the third inning. Jenson added two strikeouts in the game.

The Bulldogs scored two times in both the third and fourth innings and put the game away with four run in the fifth. Valerie Valach went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs while Jennine Mara smacked a two-run homer in the fifth inning.

In the nightcap, Delaware Valley scored a run in the top of the first as Lindsay Eversole singled and later scored on Katie Leach's RBI single. Five separate Aggies recorded singles in the contest.

DeSales scored two times in half of the first then scored eight runs over the next three innings for the 10-1 final.
