Delaware Valley College 1, Gwynedd-Mercy College 1 (2OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College and Gwynedd-Mercy College battled for 110 minutes before settling for a 1-1 tie in the non-conference game. The Aggies saw their record go to 5-6-1 while the tie was the third this year for the Griffins as their record moved to 1-8-3.

Elise Dauber gave Delaware Valley a 1-0 lead with 16:03 left in the first half as the junior took a pass from Brittany Shubra and deposited her team-best 10th goal of the season. Dauber also moved into fourth place on the Aggie all-time scoring list with 29 career goals and 11 assists for 69 points.

Twin sisters Meghan Volz and Caitlin Volz teamed up for the game-tying goal with 39:21 remaining in the conference as Caitlin's corner kick was headed in by Meghan for her second goal of the year. The teams then played scoreless ball for next 59-plus minutes for the tie.

Delaware Valley held a 19-9 advantage in shots and a 7-1 advantage in corners. Cortney Bower stopped six shots for the Aggies while Kristie Pollock made seven saves for Gwynedd-Mercy.
