BOWER, DAUBER HONORED BY FREEDOM CONFERENCE

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College women's soccer standouts Cortney Bower (Perkiomenville, PA/Boyertown) and Elise Dabuer (Erie, PA/McDowell) received weekly honors from the Freedom Conference for the period ending October 28.

Bower, a sophomore, was named the conference's Goalie/Defender of the Week while Dauber, a junior forward, earned Player of the Week honors as they helped the Aggies go 1-0-1 during the week and qualify for the Freedom Conference playoffs.

Bower made 21 saves and allowed just one in 200 minutes of play. She notched 10 saves and picked up the shutout in a 3-0, non-conference victory over former Freedom power The University of Scranton. Bower ended the week with 11 saves and a 1-1 tie against conference front-runner Manhattanville and a result that put Delaware Valley into the postseason.

Bower has played every minute in net this season and has four shutouts, 143 saves and a 1.51 goals against average to her credit.

Dauber scored three goals for six points in the two games. She recorded two tallies, including the game-winner, against Scranton and followed with the team's lone goal against Manhattanville. Dauber is the Aggies' leading scorer with 16 goals and seven assists for 39 points.

Delaware Valley finished the regular season with a 7-9-3 overall record and a 1-3-2 mark and fourth place in the Freedom Conference. The Aggies will travel to Manhattanville College for the conference semifinals on Tuesday, October 30 (6:00 p.m.).
