Delaware Valley College 0, FDU-Florham 0 (2 OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College kept its hopes alive for a second straight Freedom Conference playoff berth as the Aggies finished in a 0-0, double-overtime tie with first place FDU-Florham.

Delaware Valley is now 4-10-2 overall, but more importantly, 2-2-2 and tied for the fourth and final playoff spot with DeSales University (3-3). The Aggies cannot finish tied with DeSales since the Lady Bulldogs earned a victory over them earlier in the year and hold the tiebreaker.

Delaware Valley travels to The University of Scranton (4-1 in conference play) on Saturday while DeSales travels to Lycoming College (0-5) on Sunday. Both Delaware Valley and DeSales will also watch to see what Wilkes does as the Lady Colonels are 3-1-1 and in third place, but play Scranton tomorrow and Drew University (2-4) on Saturday.

FDU-Florham entered Wednesday's contest with a perfect 5-0 in the Freedom (10-4-1 overall) and was coming off a 2-1 victory over Scranton. However, the Aggies battled the Devils for the entire 90 minutes of regulation and a pair of 10-minute overtimes.

Delaware Valley had a chance to win the game late in regulation as Elise Dauber got free for a breakaway. However, her shot was stopped by FDU-Florham goalkeeper Melissa Braun, went off of Dauber again and rolled out of bounds with 1:29 remaining.

FDU-Florham outshot the Aggies 4-1 in the overtime periods and had its best chance with 5:16 to go in the second extra session. Kate Daly was one step ahead of a defender but her shot went wide right of the net.

Emily Joyce notched her fourth shutout of the season as she made 12 saves for the Aggies. Braun stopped four shots for the Devils.
