Delaware Valley 7, Immaculata University 1

IMMACULATA (PA) - In just her fourth collegiate game, freshman Emily Perryman scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Delaware Valley to a 7-1 rout of host Immaculata University in a non-conference game.

Perryman had scored one goal in the team's first three games, but the midfielder exploded on Thursday as the Aggies won their second straight game and improved to 2-2 on the season. The Mighty Macs fell to 0-3.

Senior Ana Mecaj started the goal barrage with an unassisted tally just 44 seconds into the contest. She then set up Perryman's first goal with 11 minutes gone in the game.

Freshman Elise Dauber notched her first collegiate goal with 29:13 remaining in the half to up the Delaware Valley lead to 3-0. Jessica Hanna put Immaculata on the scoreboard midway through the first half, but the Aggies put the contest away by scoring two times in the final two minutes of the half. Dauber found the net for a second time with exactly two minutes to go, and Perryman scored off a feed from Brittany Shubra with just 37 seconds left before intermission.

In the second half, Perryman assisted on senior Janelle Smoyer's first goal of the year and followed with an unassisted tally to complete the hat trick.

The Aggies outshot Immaculata, 29-7, and held a 7-1 advantage in corners. Emily Joyce stopped four shots to pick up the victory.
