Moravian College 3, Delaware Valley 1

CARLISLE (PA) - Brianne DeVries and Lindsay Pohl scored goals seven minutes apart in the second half as Moravian College downed Delaware Valley College, 3-1, at the Dickinson College Tournament.

The Aggies (0-3) will play Dickinson on Sunday (2:00 p.m.). Moravian went 1-0-1 at the tournament (a scoreless tie with Dickinson on Friday) and is now 4-0-1 on the year.

The Greyhounds held a 20-6 edge in shots in the first half, but only held a 1-0 lead. That goal came from Kristina Adams off a throw in from Kelly Haymaker 5:25 into the contest.

Moravian took command of the game in the second stanza as DeVries scored an unassisted tally with 33:35 remaining. DeVries then assisted on Lindsay Pohl's goal with 26:12 to go.

Delaware Valley got on the scoreboard with 5:35 left as Katie Leach connected on a penalty kick.

The Greyhounds finished with a 27-13 edge in shots. Jill Vaccaro made seven saves for the win while Lindsay Eversole stopped 14 shots for the Aggies, including 11 in the first half.
