Delaware Valley 2, DeSales University 2 (2 OT)

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Janelle Smoyer's second goal of the game came with 19 seconds left in regulation as Delaware Valley College and visiting DeSales University played to a 2-2 tie in a Freedom Conference game.

With time winding down, Brittany Shubra fed Smoyer, who broke free from the Bulldog defense. Her shot was partially deflected by DeSales goalkeeper Kelly Hinkle, but not enough to keep it out of the net for Smoyer's sixth goal of the season.

Smoyer gave the Aggies (4-10-1, 1-4-1 Freedom) a 1-0 lead less than six minutes into the game off an assist from Ana Mecaj. It stayed that way until seven minutes into the second half when the Bulldogs (7-10-2, 0-5-1) tied it as Rachel Roderer scored off a feed from Rachel Emmons. Seven minutes later, Emmonds found the net off a Roderer assist for a 2-1 DeSales lead.

Delaware Valley held a 23-16 advantage in shots, including a 6-2 edge in the two, 10-minute overtime periods. Lindsay Eversole made seven saves for the Aggies while Hinkle finished with nine stops.
