Delaware Valley vs St. Mary's College - declared a no contest

COLLEGEVILLE (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College season opener with St. Mary's College at the Ursinus College Invitational was declared a no contest due to lightning and heavy rain that resulted in poor field conditions.

According to NCAA rules, a game shall be considered a "no contest" if it hasn't progressed to 70 minutes. The game was halted in the 52nd minute.

All normal statistics are nullified in a "no contest." The game was scoreless at the time with St. Mary's holding a 12-7 advantage in shots.

The invitational resumes on Sunday with Delaware Valley scheduled to play Seton Hill University at 1:00 p.m.
