Drew University 3, Delaware Valley 0

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Julie Strain scored two goals to lead the Drew University women's soccer team to a 3-0 shutout of host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

The Rangers improved to 8-2-2 overall and a perfect 3-0 in conference play while the Aggies fell to 2-6-1, 1-3.

Strain upper her goal total to a team-best 10 on the season. She opened the scoring midway through the first half as took a feed from Cait Mueller and beat Delaware Valley goalkeeper Lindsay Eversole.

It remained 1-0 until the first seven minutes of the second half when Strain found the net against off a Shinobu Bharaj assist. Lauren Aliano ended the scoring with 11:45 left off an assist by Laura Moss.

Drew outshot the Aggies, 28-11. Eversole kept Delaware Valley in the game with a season-high 21 saves, including one on a penalty kick by Aliano in the second half.
