Muhlenberg College 3, Delaware Valley 0

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Rebecca Armstrong scored two goals to lead the Muhlenberg College women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in non-conference action from Wednesday.

After a scoreless first half, Armstrong notched the only goal that the Mules would need as the sophomore took a feed from Monica Jones off an indirect kick and found the back of the net with 36:34 remaining.

Eight minutes later, Dawn Iberer made it 2-0 off an assist by Jamie Gluck. Iberer is now in sole possession of second place on the Muhlenberg all-time scoring list with 88 points. Armstrong ended the scoring with an unassisted tally with 20:20 to go.

Muhlenberg (4-5) outshot the Aggies (4-3), 36-14, and held a 6-1 advantage in penalty corners. Lindsay Eversole made several big stops for Delaware Valley and finished with 13 saves. Kim Laurino and Stacey Spector combined for eight saves and the shutout.
