Women's Soccer

Arcadia University 3, Delaware Valley 2

GLENSIDE (PA) -- Arcadia University scored two times in the final 13:08 as the Knights posted a 3-2 victory over visiting Delaware Valley College in a non-conference women's soccer game.

After falling behind 1-0 on a Meghan Smyth goal midway through the first half, the Aggies (7-7) tied the contest 11:27 before intermission as freshman Ana Mecaj scored her 12th goal of the season off a feed from sophomore Emily Hane.

Delaware Valley then took a 2-1 lead with 16:04 left in the game as Mecaj set up fellow rookie Dana Ronyack for her fourth goal of the year. Mecaj's assist was her fourth of the season as she leads the team with 28 points.

However, Arcadia (9-4-1) came back to tie the game just over three minutes later as Maria DeGeorge notched an unassisted goal. Smyth then scored the game-winner with 9:29 to go off an assist from DeGeorge.

Arcadia held a 22-15 advantage in shots. Sophomore Lindsay Eversole made 15 saves for the Aggies.
