Women's Soccer - 2002 Season Archive

Head coach Kevin Doherty and the Aggies finished the 2002 season with a 10-9 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the Freedom Conference.

The Aggies were in the playoff hunt right through the last day of the regular season. They traveled to Drew University on November 2 needing a victory to qualify, but suffered a 1-0 loss with the goal coming in the final 15 minutes of the contest.

Senior midfielder Tara Corkery (6 goals, 4 assists, 16 points) and freshman forward Ana Mecaj (15 goals, 6 assists, 36 points) were first team, all-conference honorees while senior defender Kirsten Wurzburg (3 goals, 3 assists, 9 points) was named to the second team. Wurzburg was also named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-America College Division Women's Soccer Team.
