Washington College 5, Delaware Valley College 2

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Washington College scored four goals in the first half, en route to a 5-2, non-conference victory over host Delaware Valley College.

The Shoremen (3-4) hit the scoreboard just 4:14 into the contest as Wes Schantz found the net. They upped the lead to 2-0 on a Conor Halesworth tally with 21:43 left in the half, but the Aggies (1-7) responded just 29 seconds later as Eric Maciag scored his third goal of the year off an assist from Nathan Knight.

However, Brian Schultz scored two times in the final nine minutes of the half to give Washington its 4-1 lead at the break.

Jeremy Fennell made things interesting with 24:30 remaining as Maciag set him up for his second goal of the season and a 4-2 ballgame. However, Gabe Dopazo put the game away with 3:36 remaining for the 5-2 final.

Alex Litvack made four saves and earned the victory while Nick D'Amato stopped five shots at the other end.
