HAVERFORD (PA) - Jim Wiltsee scored a first-half goal and it was all Haverford College needed as the Fords notched a 1-0 victory over Delaware Valley College in the opening round of the Haverford College Classic.

Wiltsee took a cross from Mac Stossel and scored his first goal of the season with 14:30 remaining in the opening half. The two teams then played scoreless ball for the next 59-plus minutes in the stifling heat.

Haverford (1-2) held a 25-13 advantage in shots and a 9-5 edge in corners. Adam Care registered five saves for the shutout while senior Nick D'Amato kept the Aggies (0-4) in the game with 10 saves.
