Cabrini College 3, Delaware Valley College 1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) -- Joe Rotan scored two goals as Cabrini College survived a scare from upset-minded Delaware Valley College and defeated the host Aggies, 3-1, in a non-conference game.

The Cavaliers won their sixth game in a row and improved to 9-1 on the season while Delaware Valley fell to 1-8. Rotan scored the first goal of the game with 30:28 left in the first half as he knocked in a rebound off a Matt O'Shaugnessy shot.

It remained a 1-0 game into the second half until the Aggies tied it up with 29:39 remaining as Josh Oman set up Eric Maciag in the box for the sophomore's fourth goal of the season.

However, eight minutes later, Cabrini got one of its 15 corner opportunities in the game and converted as Evan Hanauer's cross went off a Delaware Valley defender and into the net. Rotan then sealed the game with 7:45 to go as he scored his second goal of the game and eighth of the season off an assist from Brett Butler.

The Cavaliers held a 16-4 advantage in shots and a 15-4 advantage in corners. Colin Hinkelmon made one stop and picked up the win while senior Nick D'Amato recorded six saves for the Aggies.
