MACIAG NAMED TO ALL-FREEDOM CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

DOYLESTOWN (PA) - Delaware Valley College sophomore forward Eric Maciag (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) was selected by the Freedom Conference men's soccer coaches as a second team, all-conference honoree.

Maciag paced an improved Aggie offense with six goals and a single-season record seven assists for 19 points. The seven assists tied for first in the conference while his point and goal totals ranked sixth and eighth respectively.

Maciag had big performances in both of Delaware Valley's victories. He notched two goals and one assist in the 4-3 victory over Immaculata University that snapped the team's 37-game losing streak and 62-game winless streak. Later in the year, Maciag scored one goal and assisted on two others in an 8-1 victory over Southern Vermont College.

Delaware Valley, under first-year head coach Brian Kammersgaard, finished the 2007 campaign 2-16-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the Freedom Conference.
